Evidence Bible
“Everything is safe which we commit to Him, and nothing is really safe which is not so committed.” A.W. Tozer

(Email from Dana) "One of my biggest fears in evangelism is that I will be stumped by questions people ask. When I get nervous, my mind blanks on things I know. How do you get past that? Sometimes I think I could mess things up for people because they will think they have "won" the discussion if i cannot intelligently answer their question."
·       “I don’t know”—demonstrates humility, offer to email them
·       Rom 1:16, the Gospel power of God to salvation—you can’t argue people into Heaven, the Gospel is what God uses to save people
·       “What I don’t know doesn’t make me forget what I don’t know.” Lk. 13, Jesus brought a possible question about suffering (Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices), back to Judgment Day—unless you repent you will perish
·       Use of Law, circumnavigate the intellect.
·       Sometimes not knowing is an excuse for not being willing to learn. Study… 1 Pet. 3:15 – “always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear”

“What can you say, if someone says, ‘I don’t have to go to church to be saved.’”
That’s true; salvation is through faith in Jesus alone. But once you are saved or “born again” and understand that God commands you to be plugged into a church—to both encourage other believers and be trained for works of service by your pastor—wild dogs can’t keep you away.[i] A sincere believer will want to please the One who saved them by doing what He said.
