The Sound of Abortion

Encouraging email
(Email from Bart) “Mark, I talked with you at First Baptist Church of Lakewood tonight, after your talk. You gave me the Genius DVD. I did not watch it yet, but thank you for it. I went on livingwaters.com and then watched 180themovie and posted it on FB.

I passed out 2 tracts on my way home, one at the gas station and one at Del Taco. I was scared, but did it anyway. I said, "Hey have you seen this? It's a million dollar bill." The guy said "No way!" I said "Yeah" as I handed it to him, "On the back it has a Christian message and tells you how you can avoid hell." He started reading it and asked if he could keep it.

At Del Taco it was similar. I had not seen anyone so interested in something. She was reading the back and was glued to it.

I pray next time I engage more and talk with the person. Thank you for encouraging a brother in Christ to act like a follower of Christ.”

Do pets go to Heaven?
Scripture provides us with sufficient insight for believing that animals will be in the new heaven and new earth (however, it doesn’t explain if these animals had previously lived on the earth).

Isaiah 11:6-9:

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
The calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them.
 The cow and the bear shall graze;
Their young ones shall lie down together;
And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
 The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole,
And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den.
 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.

“Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot pulled by horses (2 Kings 2:11). We’re told there are horses in heaven (Revelation 6:2-8; 19:11). In fact, there are lots of horses, enough for the vast armies of heaven to ride (Revelation 19:11; 2 Kings 6:17).” – Randy Alcorn (click here for more of Randy Alcorn’s thoughts)

From GotQuestions.org: The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. However, we can use general biblical principles to develop some clarity on the subject. The Bible states that both man (Genesis 2:7) and animals (Genesis 1:306:177:1522) have the breath of life. The primary difference between human beings and animals is that humanity is made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27), while animals are not. Being made in the image and likeness of God means that human beings are like God, capable of spirituality, with mind, emotion, and will, and they have a part of their being that continues after death. If pets/animals do have a “soul” or immaterial aspect, it must therefore be of a different and lesser “quality.” This difference possibly means that pet/animal “souls” do not continue in existence after death.

Another factor to consider is that animals are a part of God’s creative process in Genesis. God created the animals and said they were good (Genesis 1:25). Therefore, there is no reason why there could not be animals on the new earth (Revelation 21:1). There will most definitely be animals during the millennial kingdom (Isaiah 11:665:25). It is impossible to say definitively whether some of these animals might be the pets we had while here on earth. We do know that God is just and that when we get to heaven we will find ourselves in complete agreement with His decision on this issue, whatever it may be.
