Today’s Show Notes: Thursday, 24th January 2013.

Is. 5:20 – “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” compiled these statistics:
  • From 1973 through 2008, nearly 50 million legal abortions have occurred in the U.S. (AGI).
  • The 2009 there were 713 abortions per 1,000 live births in NYC (CDC).
  • In 2009, 36.6% of abortions were performed on women with one or two prior abortions, and 8.1% were performed on women with three or more prior abortions (CDC).
  • 40% of minors having an abortion report that neither of their parents knew about the abortion (AGI).
  • In 2008, 12 women died as a result of complications from known legal induced abortion (CDC).
  • In 2009, women aged 20-29 years had the highest abortion rates (CDC)
  • Twenty-two percent of all U.S. pregnancies end in abortion. (AGI).

(Chat room) "Based on illegal abortions in the passed... if we overturn roe vs wade, won't pregnant mothers who feel desperate do this in ‘the back alley’ sort of way?"

During the recent election many were encouraged to “vote their conscience.” The more accurate guidance I’d advise is to NOT trust your own heart (which the Bible says is by nature wicked) and make your choices according to the Bible, God’s heart. God has said very clearly in multiple places in the Bible that life begins in the womb (Psalms 139:13-16); meaning ending a life in the womb is murder. No amount of justification can make supporting murder acceptable.

Being concerned about back alley abortions is like saying, “We want to provide women a safe way to murder their children.” If a mass murderer wants to kill adults, should we legalize it, have the government pay for it, and then give him a comfortable office so he doesn’t have to kill people in dark alleys—where he could accidently hurt himself in the process?

Ray on Mike Gallagher Show

Ray Comfort will co-host the nationally syndicated Mike Gallagher Show on the Salem Radio Network (SRN) this Friday, January 25. The three-hour show airs live every weekday 9am-Noon, Eastern; 6am-9am Pacific.

Ray's cohost for the program will be Mark Davis, regular Friday host of Bill Bennett’s MORNING IN AMERICA on SRN. The timing of Ray's appearance on the show is related to the annual March for Life in Washington D.C. on Friday, January 25.

January 22, 2013 marked the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and on Friday January 25th the March for Life organization will commemorate that solemn occasion with the 40th anniversary of the largest human rights demonstration in the world, the March for Life in Washington D.C.

Pro-life issues will be the focus of the radio show that day and Ray will have a huge nationwide platform to share the gospel and promote "180" on the air all during the three-hour program to a very large and predominantly secular audience on major stations in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas-Ft Worth, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia and hundreds of other communities from coast to coast.

We would appreciate your prayers for Ray. May God open the doors for him to reach millions of people through this opportunity.

Please help us share this news and ask your friends to listen.

(Email from Adam) "Watching [“180”] made me realize how easy it was to articulate the pro-life stance when speaking with other people. A few months ago I was in class when my pro-choice teacher brought up abortion. I challenged her stance using some of the points Ray used in the video, and while most of the class began the day as pro-choice. I was able to pick apart every argument she made, and by the end of the class just about every student in the classroom switched pro-life. Thank you for making this video. I believe God is using it to help change hearts, and change the view of abortion in our country."

Alicia from “180”: “I think God’s a loving God. . . ”

Like Hitler, those who have created an idol in their minds will think they have the sanction of God and that He approves of their sins. How does the Bible say God really views those who don’t know Christ? (See Psalm 7:11; Colossians 1:21; John 3:18; 3:36.)

"Although God is loving and merciful, He is also holy, righteous, and just. To emphasize some of His attributes at the expense of others creates a distorted view of who God is and therefore creates false expectations of what He will do at the judgment seat.” —Bill Bright
