Atheist, Johnny U. said, “I stray away from lying as much as possible. I don't cheat or steal. I don't murder. I haven't had sex yet. I honor my parents. I've never had an abortion. (I don't have the right parts). I'm not a homosexual. I'm not a drunkard. (I have never had a drink before). I'm not a coward. Though I know plenty of Christians who are liars, cheaters, thieves, have had premarital sex, don't honor their parents. I know some who have abortions. I know some homosexual Christians. I have a few drunkards in my family. And I know cowardly Christians.”
Johnny only lies when he thinks it is necessary. Sometimes it’s impossible for him to speak the truth. Jesus pinned this self-righteous atheist to the wall with these words: "You are they who justify themselves before men, but God knows your heart." God knows how many lies Johnny has told and if this self-admitted liar is telling the truth about cheating or stealing. God has also seen how many times he has committed adultery in his heart by lusting, and how he has greatly dishonored his parents with his hypocrisy. A lying thief doesn't bring honor to his parents' good name. Look now at how the Scriptures nail him with his hypocritical judgmental attitude: “Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?” (Romans 2:1-3).
