Words of Comfort: Dr. Albert.

"As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene... No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life." - Albert Einstein

The problem with skeptics is that they haven't done what Einstein did. They have never objectively and humbly read the gospels and looked at the life and words of Jesus of Nazareth. Those who do study Him will find themselves in a dilemma. Here is a Man who lived and spoke as if He was God in human flesh. If He was, His words and warnings were true. If He wasn't who He said He was, then He was a liar like no other in history because He has deceived billions.  If you believe He was a liar you will have the dilemma of His lies being the antithesis of His teachings. Take the time to study the life of Jesus of Nazareth for yourself. Do it, if you dare. I suggest that you read the gospel of John.

Words of Comfort: Fools insist...

“Does it grieve you, my friends, that the name of God is being taken in vain and desecrated? Does it grieve you that we are living in a godless age? ...But, we are living in such an age and the main reason we should be praying about revival is that we are anxious to see God's name vindicated and His glory manifested. We should be anxious to see something happening that will arrest the nations, all the peoples, and cause them to stop and to think again.” - Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Those who love God know the grievous feeling of hearing continual mocking. While such grief is a reality, our trembling concern is for those doing the mocking because we know that “God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.” Fools who insist on throwing rocks at the sun will have their foolishness come back on their own heads. You can be sure of that.

Words of Comfort: Booth's prophetic words.

“The chief danger of the 20th Century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and Heaven without Hell.”  - William Booth (founder of the Salvation Army).

Booth's words spoken more than 100 years ago were certainly prophetic. We are now living in days when the pure gospel of everlasting life has degenerated into nothing more than a message of self-indulgence and life improvement. The result has been a Church filled with false converts, a corrupt political system, and a denial of the reality of Hell.

Words of Comfort: Bunyan.

“I never knew all there was in the Bible until I spent those years in jail. I was constantly finding new treasures.” John Bunyon

John Bunyan (1628 –1688) was an English Christian writer and preacher who is well-known for his classic book, The Pilgrim's Progress.  In 1660 he was imprisoned for 12 years for preaching the gospel, and it was in prison that he studied the Bible and wrote Pilgrim’s Progress. It is the world’s most famous allegory. Those of you who are skeptics will find yourself perfectly portrayed in the book in a wonderfully unique way. You can freely read it on line: http://pilgrim.martintw.com/  or watch it:

Words of Comfort: Call the cops?

Leonie Trent is a regular atheist who quoted me when I said, “Years ago, I told 100 kids to line up for candy. As I looked at the line I noticed that it was a line of greed. The greedy brats were at the front, and the quiet sickly and humble kids had been pushed to the back. So I took great delight in turning the line around 180 degrees and going to the quiet sickly kids first, much to the disgust of the greedy brats at the back.” Then she asked, “Did anyone call the police and did you tell the parents this?

That incident happened in New Zealand about 35 years ago, at a time when people trusted each other and sin (evil) wasn't so rampant. Those were the days when people respected the Ten Commandments and didn’t lie, live in hypocrisy, steal, hate, and murder—as they do now that the Commandments have been forsaken. When there is no Law there is lawlessness. If someone had called the police in those days, they would have probably come into the class to enjoy the fun and listen to the gospel.

Words of Comfort: Eternity is eternal.

“How long is eternity? Someday you theists will look back on your words and feel embarrassed.” Richard Notizia

Embarrassed? Never. The Bible says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall not be ashamed.” This short life is filled with pain, futility, aging, and then the surety of death—and with this life there is a little joy here and there. In reality, each of us isn’t searching for happiness; rather, we are fighting off unhappiness. We are constantly barraged with problems, sickness and pain. Dentists, doctors, lawyers, and undertaker’s have secure jobs in this life.

But as Christians, we have been given everlasting life, and we are eagerly waiting for God's Kingdom to come to this earth and for His will to be done on this earth as it is in Heaven. That means new bodies with no more futility, aging, tears, pain, suffering or death. God seals those that love Him with the Holy Spirit as a token of good faith. That’s how we can “know” we have everlasting life. When that day comes the Bible says that God will withdraw the dimension of a time, and we enter "eternity." I hope today you’ll join us. See www.NeedGod.com for details.

Words of Comfort: My Home.

“Hate to break it to you but you live on planet Earth. Planet Earth is your home.” Mark Howard

It’s not common knowledge that this planet is our home. We are going to inherit this earth. Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." We get it all, but with a huge difference. There will be no more Genesis curse. Everything you see--the beautiful blue ocean, the amazing trees with their incredible fruits, the massive variety of amazing animals, etc., are in a “fallen” state, under the curse of God being devoured by death and corruption. When the curse comes off, there will be no more death and disease. Those who trust in Christ will get new bodies that have no pain, don’t age and never die. It’s then that the lion will lie down with the lamb. How amazing life will be when God's Kingdom comes to this earth, when His will, will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. If you think our hope is that we will be ghostly spooks, playing rusty harps on clouds forever, you are deceived. Forget your preconceptions, and instead read and believe the "exceeding great and precious promises" of the Bible. It’s God’s Word and it will come to pass.

Words of Comfort: One Million Views

NOAH hits one million views in Days. TV Networks to Air in over 150 Countries

Los Angeles, CA.  Fourteen major Christian TV Networks (including NRB, TLN, TBN, Daystar, and INSP) will be airing Ray Comfort’s NOAH documovie in over 150 countries.

Despite all the problems with Russell Crowe’s NOAH it has been good for our version. Their version was a fantasy, ours is based on truth.

The future. Prophecy.

Great news. Especially on the heels of the news that www.NoahTheMovie.com has had half a million views is just ten days.

Have you noticed that the Bible is filled with “childish” stories that (if taken literally) insult the intellect? There’s a reason for that.

Years ago I ran a Bible club, after which I told 100 kids to line up for candy. As they did so I noticed that it was a line of greed. The big bullies had pushed their way to the front and the quiet sickly kids were relegated to the back.

So I told the kid...s to about-face. Then I took great delight in going to the other end of the line first.

That’s what God has done with the ultimate gift of everlasting life. He turned the line around, and He it did it by consistently using foolish things to confound the arrogant brats of this world.

Who, with any intellectual dignity, would ever stoop to believe the childish stories of the Bible? The answer is—those who understand that in this world, where the rich get richer and the poor get stomped on, God has turned the line around.

The arrogant bullies of this world lose, big time. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.

“Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:2-4).

You don’t need our permission to do this:

“My church and I are going to have a movie/pizza night this coming Saturday. We are going to have a double feature, ‘Noah’ and ‘Evolution vs. God.’” Warren Catton, NSW Australia

“It's a first-rate production, Ray. We're setting up a viewing station in our store so folks can watch it any time, along with 180 and EvolutionVsGod. If they watch the full thing, they'll get a free DVD.” Jesse Kropf

Words of Comfort: Cannot prove Hell exists.

“Unfortunately you cannot prove Hell exists.” Conway Savage

The existence of Hell can be proven to any “reasonable” person. However, an atheist doesn’t quality because he isn’t reasonable, logical, or sensible. He thinks that nothing made everything--which is scientifically ludicrous. Or he tries to justify such stupidity by redefining “nothing” as something, which borders on crazy-talk.

Here now is how we can know that Hell exists. Firstly, we know that the Creator exists because of creation (or Nature). This is because it is scientifically impossible for Nature to be eternal or have made itself.

We also intuitively know that God is moral and requires moral accountability. Our God-given and society-shaped conscience tells us that. That is simple common sense.

Here comes the logic. If man is made in the image of God (and man universally spends trillions of dollars on seeing that justice is done), how much more will his Creator have a Day of absolute Justice?  From the beginning of the Bible to the end, there is a thread of continuity. It tells us that God gave His Law, we are Law-breakers (criminals) in His sight, and Hell is His place of punishment (His prison) and there will be no parole.

Any judge who looks the other way at crime, isn’t a good judge. If he’s good he must do everything he can to see that justice is done. If God isn’t going to punish Hitler, murderers and rapists, then He’s not good.

On the day that equity has its way, you will see that no one got away with a thing—not Hitler, not those who committed the perfect crime, not rapists, thieves, liars or fornicators. Ultimate absolute and perfect justice will have its way. That’s why you need the Savior. He can justify you. He can make you clean in God’s perfect eyes. See www.needGod.com for details.

Words of Comfort: Existence of Heaven.

"You don't know that heaven exists; per Scripture, you can't know that. You have been told that heaven exists and you believe that you have not been lied to. That is clearly your choice to believe that way, but you can't rationally expect everyone else to believe without evidence. Threatening a non-believer with hell is the equivalent of threatening any rational adult with the boogey-man." Michael Lamb

Our belief in the existence of Heaven isn't simply based on a trust that we have been told the truth. The trust we have in God isn't like the blind trust believers have in books or the words of professors--when it comes to baseless and unscientific Darwinian evolution.  Faith in God is not believing without evidence. It is based on evidence. This is the teaching of the Bible and the experience of those who obey it's words:

“He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continueto believe in the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:10-13).

What you don't have knowledge about is that this knowledge is more than an intellectual belief. God "seals" the sinner that obeys the gospel with the Holy Spirit so that he has “the witness in himself.” This is the new birth of which Jesus spoke in John chapter 3. Without it you will not enter Heaven. So we can“know.” Now you know.

Words of Comfort: Wonderfully true!

How wonderfully true:

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!"  Psalms 32:1, 2, 10, 11

Words of Comfort: Sabbath-keepers.

Jenny Bostwick Hill said, “I would like to know your view on the Sabbath. Did the Catholic church change the calendar and Saturday should be the Sabbath instead of Sunday? Also, should we be keeping the Sabbath? Thanks Ray! God bless!”

I rarely talk about this issue, and when I do it’s not to argue with Sabbath-keepers. It’s to make sure Christians don’t get tangled up in their deception and in the bondage of legalism. Those who insist that others (besides themselves) should keep the Jewish Sabbath cannot point to even one verse in the New Testament where  Christians are commanded to keep the Sabbath. If our salvation depended on resting on a certain day, then you would think that God would have taken the time to tell us, “Remember to keep the Sabbath holy.” But it’s not there, and any reference to it is negative—saying not to let any man tell you what day to keep, etc.  I have found that Sabbath-keepers rarely plead with the unsaved to get right with God. Instead, they try and lay the Law on the backs of Christians to try and take away the liberty they have in Christ and steal their joy. So I gently ban them. This is because scripture tells me to avoid strivings about the Law.

Words of Comfort: Loophole.

A now banned atheist said, “A religion that believes a bronze age deity became his own son to have himself tortured and killed to create a loophole in rules he created because a woman ate a piece of fruit…how could anyone scoff at that?”

The Bible has stood the test of time, and with a little research and a humble heart, anyone can discover that it is supernatural in origin—that it truly is the Word of the Creator of the universe--because of its amazing prophecies. Instead, skeptics discard it and its Author as being from the “bronze age”—inferring that it is inferior to our enlightened age—to those who would have us believe that nothing created everything and that we are primates.

The Bible teaches that God created a human Body and filled that Body as a hand fills a glove. Jesus Christ was God in human form—a perfectly sinless human being who gave His life to pay the fine for the Law that you and I violated. Refer to this as a “loophole” if you wish, but don’t ignore the only way to avoid being damned in a terrible place called “Hell.”

Words of Comfort: Noah and Prophecy.

“Noah” is the first movie we have done about prophecy. The reason we produced it is because the future is coming for all of us, and that’s frightening if you are unsaved. So we have pulled together what is called mainline prophecies of the Bible.

While respected Bible scholars may disagree on the timing of some of the signs, they all agree on one thing…that Jesus Christ is coming again. The Scriptures say that no one knows the hour nor the day, but they are very specific about the fearful way in which He will return:

“…when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power…” (1 Thess. 1:7-9).

Words of Comfort: Snakes don't talk.

“This isn't a Jungle Book. Snakes don't talk.” Nick Murray

Do animals have a language? Do they communicate (talk) to each other? My dog shows me that he understands English when he obeys me, when I speak English. He also tells me (in his own language) when he wants something to eat or drink.  Every night, at around 6:00 PM, he goes into the back yard and speaks with another dog  a couple of doors down (in the language of dogese).  The dog he speaks to him always answers.  Do elephants or dolphins have a language in which they speak to each other? How about whales? Of course they do.  Parrots manage to talk without vocal cords.

How ironic, that people who believe that they are animals mock the thought that any animal could talk.

Words of Comfort: Flat Earth?

Someone asked “Can someone please point me to the verse that says the earth is flat?”

The now banned atheist John Milk then replied: "It calls Earth a circle. Circles are flat." Actually, circles are round. Atheists go in circles with this argument. By saying that they are in "circles" I am meaning that they go round and round...in a circle. Round. When the Bible says "He that sits on the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40:22) it means that the earth is round...like a round circle. Like the wheel on a bike. Round. But this won't convince a fundamentalist atheist because he loves his sins and he’s not interested in truth. He seeks excuses to try and justify his sinful worldview. If he was truly seeking truth he would simply repent, trust in Jesus and come to know God. Of course that would mean no more porn, fornication, blasphemy, etc. but it would also mean that he finds everlasting life. So if any atheists are reading this, stop going in circles (round and round—like a circle). Get right with God and get on the straight and narrow path that leads to life.

Words of Comfort: Institution of Marriage.

Mike Veet cynically asked “It'd be great to get your thoughts on Col 3:18” (about wives “submitting” to their husbands).

The verse is a letter from Paul instructing Christian women. The letter isn’t addressed to unbelievers, and those who read it are reading someone else’s mail—ours.
The Bible is an Instruction Book which, among other things, tells us how to make the institution of marriage work.  The world mocks it, and so they fill the divorce courts (and scar their kids for life) because they don't like God's order. That's their choice and to their detriment.

But I have a further thought. Believers in evolution often point to the behavior of animals to try and justify their animal-like behavior. So let’s take a cue from the King of the animal kingdom. Watch a lion have his woman go shopping for him. When she returns with the beef, she waits while he eats. He roars a couple of times. Then he sleeps while she eats.  That’s God’s order for the lion….and it doesn’t sound too bad at all (to a male).

Words of Comfort: Faith-Building.

How faith-building it is to see the amazing consistency of scripture. If you do a study on the “right hand” of God you will find Jesus there.

Psalm 48:10  says: "Your right hand is full of righteousness." Our righteousness is in Christ.
Psalm 16:11: “…at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Jesus is our great treasure.
Psalm 17:7: “O you that save by your right hand.” Jesus is our Savior.
Psalm 21:8: “Your right hand will find those who hate You.” God will judge this world by Jesus Christ.
Psalm 63:8: “Your right hand upholds me.” We are upheld and preserved in Christ.
Isaiah 48:13: “And My right hand has stretched out the heavens…” God made all things through Jesus Christ.

After the ascension, Jesus sat at the right hand of the Father, but when Stephen was being stoned to death he looked up and saw Jesus “standing on the right hand of God.”

Words of Comfort: Blasphemers.

Blasphemers, here's your future: "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2: 9-11

Words of Comfort: Atheists & Noah.

Perhaps an atheist would be convinced that Noah’s Ark was a reality if he was told that the ark was floating around for 60 million years, and that Noah, his wife, and all the animals evolved from nothing.  Perhaps not. That cuts a little close to the bone.

Words of Comfort: Native Americans.

According to Christians, all those Native Americans are condemned to eternal torture in hell if they didn't/don't believe in that (Christian) God…”

That’s not true. Any Native American, African American, Ordinary American, Chinese American, or any Russian, Aussie, Kiwi or atheist who repents and trusts alone in Jesus will be saved from Eternal Justice. The Scriptures say, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” It has nothing to do with "believing in God." We all believe in the Creator. Some just pretend He doesn't exist.

Words of Comfort: Noah And The Last Days
