"I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. None of us are eternal. Make most of the here and now, or throw away the joys this world offers in this fleeting time we have in existence for the false promise of eternal bliss."
Why did you say "billion and billions"? Why not "trillions and trillions"? I will tell you why. Because what you meant was that you were "eternally" dead, but you dare not use the word "eternal" because it has connotations of you know Who.
